Vision and Values
Our vision:
Holbrook CofE Primary School takes inspiration from Jesus' promise to bring 'life in all its fullness' (John 10:10). For us, this means we strive to provide a caring, calm and inclusive environment in which every child can flourish, develop their knowledge and skills, and find their talents and passions. Academically, it means we aim high so that every student gains the knowledge and skills to prepare them for the next step of their education. Though our curriculum, we provide rich learning experiences which help our children grow into caring and responsible young people who are curious about the world around them and can go on to positively shape their communities. Underpinning this all is a commitment to Christian values, supporting children to grow in character, explore their spirituality, develop a sound moral compass, and be ready to play an active and loving role in their communities.
Our Aims:
- A respectful, secure and inclusive community where everyone can find their potential, their talents and their passions.
- A nurturing environment which supports moral and spiritual development, grounded in the Christian faith and Christian values.
- Independent, confident and curious learners who achieve well.
- Rich learning experiences which build children's understanding and appreciation of the world and its people.
Our values:
Our school and its curriculum is shaped by our Holbrook Values. These are the essential building bricks of life, to give children the tools to help them become successful and happy and to contribute to and shape their communities; the tools to help our children go on to 'live life in all its fullness'. Our values are grounded in the Christian faith. Each term we take a bible story and verse to help explore and think about one of the values.
We encourage children to be:
kind
reflective
empathetic
courageous
resilient
respectful
