Cultural Capital

Cultural Capital

At Holbrook Primary School, we enhance children's cultural capital by dedicating each class to exploring renowned artists, poets, scientists and more. By focusing on the best of the best, reflecting in our Wednesday Class Worship time, we inspire students and expose them to exceptional talent. Our outdoor-based approach integrates the natural surroundings of our rural school, fostering a strong connection to the outdoors and bringing the outside in. Through this holistic approach, we empower students to appreciate culture, nature, and human achievement, preparing them for personal growth and future success.

Wednesday reflections

On Wednesdays, children explore some cultural capital linked to their class name. By the end of the year children will be able to talk about some of the artists, poets and activists they have explored, building a picture of they go through school of the best that has been thought and said in our society.
