Sadly, Mr Swinscoe will be leaving us at the end of this term. He has long held a dream to move to the Isle of Wight with his family and this came true when he was offered and accepted a teaching post at a primary school on the island just before half term!
Mr Swinscoe has been a teacher at our school for 14 years, most of which he has been working with our Year 6 children. I know many of you have had children taught by Mr Swinscoe and would all agree that he has done a fantastic job whilst working here and adults and children alike will miss him. There will be a special event for Mr Swinscoe on Tuesday 19th December at 5:30pm in the school hall. Everyone is very welcome to join us for tea and cakes as well as a presentation ceremony.
We are very pleased that we have appointed Mr Robert Rumsby as his replacement. Mr Rumsby’s previous post was as a Deputy Head in an outstanding school in Nottinghamshire. He will be teaching Class 4 until the end of the summer term.
